The Model XYZ 2000 Series translation stage was intended for
moving optics and microscopes around. This unit is capable of handling loads up
to 50 lbs and moving in increments as small as .0005 mm or half a micron. This
unit is being used for production probing of MEMS and LEDS in large
manufacturing firms. You can use our control or build your own to move the high resolution
steppers. Gearboxes are available for smaller moves. We have more options
available to attach Navitar and Optem microscopes and accessories. Theta plates
are another option for adjusting the orthogonality of the x and y travel.
Over the years the XYZ 2000 has been used for analytical
probing with a computer controlling the step and repeat of a multiple probe test
procedure. This translation stage is adaptable for many types of semiconductor,
medical and scientific research and development. Automatic probing and visual
inspection are just some of the uses for the motorized positioners we offer.
The XYZ 2000 is available in single axis or stacked in the
configuration shown. It is made of precision high-quality 440 stainless steel
linear bearings and dense aluminum with a black anodized finish. There are knobs
on the backs side of the motors to allow manual override of the movement.
